   Overview

QJolt is a frame game designed to create greater awareness of our attitudes and beliefs. Players are asked a customizable series of questions and teachings that lead them to discover how their current patterns of thinking may be getting in their way.

Example: one application of QJolt asks salespeople to make a list of Customer needs. Next they go through a process to discover that the most effective salespeople think of needs in terms of a client’s vision, objectives, or challenges. The least successful salespeople think of needs in terms of their own products or product features. Then they are shown their original list of needs and they typically discover that 90% of the “needs” they listed were their own products or product features. Next they are asked to make a new list of customer needs, focusing on their customer’s vision, objectives, and challenges. The new list is displayed side-by-side with the original list and they are asked to rate which of the two lists would be more useful in creating a compelling sales presentation? As a result of this series of questions and explanations, the learner discovers that how they think about a customer’s needs limits their ability to identify and sell solutions to clients. They learn that thinking about needs differently can increase substantially their ability to close sales and win larger deals.

QJolt takes more time to create than other QGames, but it is designed to create powerful, positive, permanent shifts in attitudes and beliefs.
